Alumni & Friends Webinar: A Brand Called YOU!

Leadership & Executive Coach Offers Tools to Discover, Share Personal Brand

Marisa Ciesluk, leadership and executive coach of MWC Coaching, shared tools on how to craft a personal brand statement during “A Brand Called YOU,” the final spring program in the Alumni & Friends 2021 Webinar Series on Thursday, April 15.

What’s a personal brand? Marisa defined it as a collection of a person’s values, beliefs, gifts and talents.

“It’s how people feel when they’re in your space,” she said.

She said crafting a personal brand statement helps “to design the life you want” with “clarity, confidence and courage,” giving it focus, energy and abundance.

Marisa directed her presentation to people in all stages of life – from new graduates to empty nesters – and said a personal brand is constantly evolving. She encouraged the audience to “be purposeful risk takers” and pay attention to life’s moments that can be change agents.

“You learn about yourself in the messy middle, not on the summit,” she said.
