Group Tours (for 5 or more visitors)

Thank you for your interest in bringing your group to visit Mitchell College!
Our group tours are for a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 40 students (high school only) from schools, organizations.

  • Tours are scheduled Monday-Friday and are subject to availability of meeting space, Admissions staff, and tour guides.
  • Groups must have at least one chaperone for every 10 students.
  • Tours do not include meals; however, depending on the size of the group, we may be able to provide dining space for brought lunches and/or purchased lunches from our dining hall. If purchasing lunch from our dining hall, please notify your tour coordinator at the time of tour confirmation so they can alert the Dining Manager.
  • The “Campus Tour Only” option is 1-1.5 hours. The “Campus Tour + Presentation” is 1.5-2 hours.
  • Requests must be received at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • Please note there may be other group tours at the same time as your group.

Your group visit is not considered confirmed until you receive an email from the Admissions Visit Coordinator. 

 

Submit Documents

The official high school transcript will not need to be submitted to Mitchell until after a student is admitted and has confirmed their enrollment. Official, final high school transcripts can be sent electronically through transcript services such as Parchment, ScribOrder, or Scoir; emailed to admissions@mitchell.edu, or mailed to:

Applying to Mitchell
  • Common App: Application to Mitchell College including transfer and international is through the Common Application.
  • Codes: Mitchell College CEEB code: 3528. Mitchell College FAFSA/US Dept. of Education code: 001393.
  • Documents: Documents can be submitted via Naviance only if applying through the Common App. Otherwise, they can be uploaded directly to the Admissions Portal, emailed to admissions@mitchell.edu, or mailed to: Mitchell College Admissions, 437 Pequot Avenue, New London, CT 06320.
  • Rolling: All applications to Mitchell College are evaluated on a rolling basis.
  • Test Scores: Submission of SAT and/or ACT scores is optional.
  • Decisions: Once a file is complete, an admissions decision will be sent via regular mail and/or email to the applicant in about three weeks.
  • Mitchell College Financial Aid
    • To be fully considered for all sources of need-based financial aid, students should submit the FAFSA.
    • Every student is automatically considered for merit-based academic scholarships.
    • 95% of Mitchell College students receive financial aid through merit-based scholarships, need-based grants, loans, or employment.
Applying to Thames
  • Application process for Thames at Mitchell College is at mitchell/edu/thames-apply.
  • Rolling: All applications to Thames at Mitchell College are evaluated on a rolling basis, continuing to accept applications until the class is full. As Thames spots fill quickly, students applying to Thames are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible for  consideration.
  • Decisions: Once a file is complete, an admissions decision will be sent via regular mail and/or email to the applicant in about three weeks.
