Applying to Mitchell
Admissions Requirements:
Prior to enrollment, applicants must have graduated from an accredited high school or hold an official high school equivalency diploma.
Ideally all applicants will have taken the following high school courses (exceptions are reviewed on an individual basis):
- 4 years of English
- 3 years of Math (Algebra I & II, Geometry)
- 3 years of Social Studies
- 3 years of Science
Applications are reviewed with the following considerations:
- Cumulative GPA
- Rigor of coursework
- Extracurricular involvement
- Information provided on the application/any letters of recommendation received
Mitchell College is test optional–any test scores submitted will be considered in context and as supplemental information.

- Transcripts can be sent electronically or via mail
- Emailed transcripts can be sent to admissions@mitchell.edu (**NOTE: If students complete the Mitchell College Online Application, documents CANNOT be submitted via Naviance)
- Transcripts can also be sent electronically via Parchment, Scoir, ScribOrder, or the National Clearinghouse

Admissions Deadlines:
Mitchell College follows a rolling admissions policy. Applications will be reviewed as they become complete, and decisions will be sent to the application within two weeks of the review.

Application Requirements:
It is free to apply! Students can complete the Common Application or the Mitchell College Online Application.

- High School Transcript (Note: if the student completes the Mitchell College Online Application, you cannot submit documents via Naviance)
- Most current Cognitive and Achievement Testing (within 3 years)
- IEP/504 Plan (if applicable)
- Student Interview (interviews can be scheduled by emailing admissions@mitchell.edu)

Merit Scholarships & Financial Aid
All full-time students are considered for a Merit Scholarship during the application process. Merit Scholarships are based on GPA, rigor of curriculum, extracurricular involvement, motivation, and other special factors. Merit Scholarships are renewable at the awarded amount provided the student is making satisfactory academic progress (SAP).
To be fully considered for all sources of need-based financial aid, students should submit the FAFSA and add Mitchell (Code: 001393).
