MiniMesters and Internships at Mitchell
Earn 3–4 College Credits in just 2 weeks!
MiniMester courses are an excellent way to earn 3–4 college credits in a compressed time frame. Each MiniMester Session (January, May and June) is open to Mitchell College students and the public. All students are encouraged to discuss with their Academic Advisor what is an appropriate class to take in the MiniMester BEFORE registering online. Internships during MiniMesters are also available for current Mitchell students only and require prior permission.
Note: Students are not permitted to take more than one class per MiniMester session due to the accelerated time frame of these sessions.

Students who are on hold, need to pay all back balances before registering for May or June MiniMester course or Summer Internships. You must pay in full at the time of registration in order to be officially enrolled.
Housing
Summer Housing is currently at full capacity. If you are interested in being placed on the waitlist for housing, please email housing@mitchell.edu. Please note: Dining and meal plans will not be available during the summer.
Optional Costs
Bentsen Learning Center (BLC): Students enrolled in the BLC will have an additional cost of: $540 per MiniMester course.

May MiniMester
May 16–28 (12 class days)
Registration begins on April 1 and continues until noon on the second day of classes for each term. Students are encouraged to meet with their Academic Advisor BEFORE registering online. Students may only add/drop classes on the first two days of each term unless otherwise noted. Course times, days and instructors are subject to change depending upon college needs. A course may be cancelled if insufficiently enrolled. Students enrolled in a course will be notified immediately upon the college decision to cancel a course. Note: Two 10-minute breaks are built in to each class day. All classes are Monday–Saturday unless noted differently. Last day to withdraw with a “W” grade is Wednesday, May 25 at noon.

From the beach to the woods and everything in between, this class will look at the many different environments on campus and the impacts humans are having on these ecosystems. Outdoor activities will fully immerse students in these habitats, while complementing classroom learning. Other topics to be covered include food sustainability, energy and water usage, as well as management of these resources to become well-informed critical thinkers around your campus. NOTE: This course has a lecture and required laboratory component each week. |

Summer 2022 Internships
May 16–August 5
Students are encouraged to contact the Office of Integrative Career Development to discuss summer internship opportunities prior to registering online. Regardless of the actual length of an internship, courses encompass the entire 13 weeks and all hours/paperwork/grades are officially submitted in August. Last day to enroll in an internship class is May 11, 2022, at 5:00pm. Last day to withdraw from this term with a “W” grade is Friday, July 16, 2022.
