As we celebrate Thames’s 20th anniversary during the 2026–27 academic year, I hope our entire community will join us. This is a celebration of our students and alumni, of the families who placed their trust in us, and of the faculty and staff whose commitment and care have helped make Thames what it is today. It is also an opportunity to thank the donors, friends, and supporters who have believed in this work and helped sustain it.
Throughout the year, we will celebrate the people and the milestones that have shaped Thames. We will share stories from students, alumni, families, faculty, and staff, and reflect on the extraordinary impact this program has had over the past twenty years.
But this anniversary is not simply about looking back. It is also about looking ahead.
The need for programs like Thames—and for educational environments that recognize that students learn and grow in different ways—has never been greater. As Mitchell College continues to build on its longstanding commitment to supporting and empowering neurodivergent students and students with diverse learning needs, Thames remains an important part of our future.
I hope you will join us in celebrating this remarkable milestone.
Our celebration begins on October 2 with the Thames 20th Anniversary Kickoff and will continue throughout the year with special events, stories, programs, and opportunities to reconnect.
For twenty years, Thames has helped students discover their strengths and see new possibilities for their futures. I am incredibly proud of all that Thames has meant to Mitchell College—and even more excited about all that lies ahead.
Here’s to the next twenty years.
