Spring College Fair Coming to Mitchell on March 9

Education Speaker Series: A Positive Approach to Challenging Behavior @ Mitchell College Weller Center

Presented by Mitchell College and the Connecticut Parent Advocacy Center.
Families will be introduced to a new way of thinking about their children’s challenging behaviors and about the need to advocate for behavioral supports. It introduces and provides an overview of the concepts of functional behavioral assessment and positive behavior interventions.

Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday at Mitchell College’s 16th Annual Cat in the Hat Ball on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Clarke and Weller Centers. Enjoy family fun with children’s games, crafts, music, and story times in English and Spanish. Presented by the Education Department, the event is open to the public and free with a donation of one new children’s book or $5 per family. Local authors including Tish Rabe, best-selling author of “The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library,” will be reading excerpts and signing books. All donated books will benefit local schools and early childcare centers. For more information, please contact the Education Department at czapek_m@mitchell.edu.
