Southeastern Connecticut Kindergarten Festival

The event will be held at the Children’s Learning Center at Mitchell College, 701 Montauk Ave. New London, CT 06320. Children are welcome. Flock Theatre Presents Animal Farm

animalfarm art copyMitchell College’s resident theater group, Flock Theatre, presents George Orwell’s classic Animal Farm at the Red Barn (629 Montauk Ave. New London, CT 06320). Showings will be held at 7pm for two weekends: Friday, January 18-Sunday, January 20 and Friday, January 25-Sunday, January 27, 2019. Flock’s production of Animal Farm features an array of expertly designed and crafted animal masks created by Heather Asch, a 4-time Emmy award-winning puppeteer, whose credits include The Jim Henson Company, Sesame Workshop, and Nickelodeon. Radio Mitchell is your voice to promote your club or department, announce events, rally Mariners for a big game, or just keep the campus informed. At least two weeks before an event email radiomitchell@mitchell.edu with complete information including date, time, location and whom to contact for more info. Speakers Series: Richard Farmer to Speak at the Red Barn at Mitchell College

Square_FARMERRichard Farmer joins Mitchell College for “Charting Your Life’s Course: Where You Start Doesn’t Have to Determine Where You Finish: Lessons Learned as a Sailor and a Lawyer” on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Red Barn at Mitchell College, 629-A Montauk Ave. New London, CT 06320.

Mr. Farmer will discuss how, through success in competitive sailing, he overcame childhood challenges, including anger, disciplinary issues in school, an indifference toward learning, and a lack of self-esteem, to become a world class sailor and lawyer. 18th Annual Cat in the Hat Ball

Image2Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday on Saturday, February 23, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with children’s games, crafts, and story times at Clarke and Weller Centers on the Mitchell College Campus (437 Pequot Ave. New London, CT)! Enjoy performances by the Community Dance Ensemble and a reading and book signing with well-known local author Tish Rabe, best-selling author of “The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library.”

Presented by the Mitchell College Education Department and Early Childhood Education Club, the event is open to the public and free with a donation of one new children’s book or $5 per family. Snow date is February 24, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
