Arts & Nature Summer Camp

Nature meets the arts in this thoughtfully designed summer camp! Designed for children ages 5 to 12, the Arts & Nature Camp at Mitchell College blends the arts with science and the natural setting of woods, pond and shoreline in one of the most creative camps you will find in New London County. Camp runs weekly, from June 18 – August 17, Monday-Friday, and registration is now open. Children’s Learning Center Preschool Registration

Come discover why New London’s newest preschool may be the perfect fit for your family or a family you know! The program is designed for children ages 3-5, and both full day and half day classes begin August 27. Registration is now open! For more information, visit mitchell.edu/clc.

Radio Mitchell

Radio Mitchell is your voice to promote your club or department, announce events, rally Mariners for a big game, or just keep the campus informed. At least two weeks before an event email radiomitchell@mitchell.edu with complete information including date, time, location and whom to contact for more info. Write your own 30 to 60 second script or we’ll write one for you. We’ll air your announcement frequently. Reach the ears of the Mitchell community today!

Annual Earth Day Celebration

earth-day-1364238_1920 (1)All students, faculty, staff, and the public are invited to attend our Earth Day Celebration fair, to be held on Wednesday, April 18 from 12-3pm in the Clarke Center! Chris Cryder with Save the Sound will be the keynote speaker. Mr. Cryder will discuss local conservation issues, primarily the effort of a Connecticut and New York based coalition to keep Plum Island a wildlife refuge challenging those advocating for selling this government-owned natural area to developers. The event is open to the public and will feature activities for all ages including art projects, seedling starting, community garden information, broadcasting by Radio Mitchell, a community expo and much more! Legally Blonde: The Musical

Academic Events

The Academic & Student Affairs Awards Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.

Commencement Ceremony 2018 will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 10 a.m. Find out more details here.

Therapy Dogs

Students are invited to come by the Yarnall lobby during finals to meet the therapy dogs, create a mandala, and enjoy some snacks on Monday, April 30 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. For more information, email Stacey Torpey.

Spring Concert for Mitchell College Select Chorus

The Spring Concert for the Mitchell College Select Chorus will take place on Monday, April 30, at 7 PM in the Clarke Center.  This performance is free, and open to both the public and general Mitchell community. The Select Chorus will also be singing at commencement on May 12, 2018.
