New London author Ron Samul was recently recognized as a finalist in the 2019 International Book Awards’ general fiction category for his book “The Staff.” The book is based on small-community life, where everyone knows everything about each other, and it was also short-listed for the 2017 Del Sol Press First Novel Prize.

Samul works at Mitchell College and serves as a writing mentor at the Western Connecticut State University creative and professional writing MFA program.
